—— Official initiation of the “learning English to welcome the Universiade” activity

　　At 10 a.m. of 13 August, Shenzhen Public Security Bureau solemnly held the opening ceremony of the “learning English to welcome the Universiade” activity regarding all police in Shenzhen at the lobby of the Command Center. CPC member and Deputy Director Shi Zhigang of Shenzhen Public Security Bureau hosted the ceremony; leaders and guests like Liang Daoxing, vice chairman of Executive Committee and director of Executive Board of the 26th Universiade, Deputy CPC Secretary Tao Yitao of Shenzhen University, Deputy CPC Secretary and Deputy Director Shen Shaobao, Wang Yijun, CPC member and director of Political Department of Shenzhen Public Security Bureau, Dean Jiang Daochao of School of Foreign Languages of Shenzhen University were present; there were also 100 odd leader and police representatives of all units of Shenzhen Public Security Bureau present.
　　At the ceremony, the present leaders and guests distributed to all policemen of Shenzhen the learning manual of 300 Policing English Sentences of Shenzhen Public Security Bureau for Welcoming the Universiade, and the learning cards of 10 Concise and Practical Policing English Sentences. Policeman Zhang Nanyan of the Traffic Police Detachment and policeman Wen Yupeng of Shenzhen Public Security Bureau Futian Branch delivered speeches on behalf of nearly 20,000 police of Shenzhen to declare their decisions and confidence of learning English well for serving the Universiade. Leaders and guests like Liang Daoxing, Shen Shaobao and Tao Yitao delivered passionate speeches to encourage all policemen to merge into the English learning activities. Shen Shaobao also awarded a battalion flag to Nanshan Brach, the first station of the “policing English training camp”.
　　The “learning English to welcome the Universiade” activity began from August this year and ended in August 2011, and will be held for 8 sessions, with each session lasing three months. The “policing English training camp” will cover all police forces of all organs and grassroots. In the period, we will jointly set up classes with Shenzhen University, so as to further enhance the English level of all policemen by virtue of its good teachers and better serve the “peaceful Universiade”.
