The opening ceremony of the “119” fire control publicity month sponsored by Shenzhen Fire Safety Committee and jointly planned by Fire Control Detachment of Shenzhen Public Security Bureau and City Channel of Shenzhen Media Group according to the Implementation Scheme of Activities in "119” Fire Control Publicity Month of Shenzhen in 2009 achieved a complete success at CITIC Plaza, Futian District at 10 o’clock this morning. Deputy Secretary General Li Yikang of Shenzhen Municipal Government, leaders of member units of Shenzhen Fire Safety Committee, and about 2,000 employees of enterprises and masses participated in the activity.
　　In order to expand the influence of the “119” publicity month, Shenzhen Media Group assigned famous emcees Hong Tao and Zhang Tianyu to host the activity, making star effect, and the City Channel directly broadcasted the entire activity. Deputy Secretary General Li Yikang delivered a speech on behalf of the government and described the importance of the fire control work themed “uppermost life, safety and harmony”. After that, Deputy Secretary General Li Yikang, Detachment Head Xu Dongping, Director Chen Xiaohua of Publicity Department of CPC Shenzhen Committee, Director Jia Lieke of Shenzhen Emergency Management Office, and Director Dai Jie of City Channel of Shenzhen Media Group jointly pulled the initiation button and witnessed the official initiation of the “119” fire control publicity month this year.
　　The activity was unveiled by the “onsite emergency drill” of the voluntary fire brigade, and then a short DV regarding fire control knowledge was broadcasted. There was interaction with present masses. Fire control publicity materials were distributed to them, and some of them also experienced the fire escape in person. The activity was also inserted with singing and dancing programs, in order to visually publicize fire safety knowledge in the form favored by the masses.
　　According to the deployment of the Fire Control Detachment of Shenzhen Public Security Bureau, the fire fighting, rescue and evacuation drills were also conducted today at key units for fire control and bustling sites in Shenzhen, which kicked off the launch overall of the fire control publicity month in Shenzhen, called on citizens to jointly participate in fire control, concern fire control, and make efforts to create a safe living and production environment and build up a peaceful and harmonious Shenzhen.
